Society for Promotion and Farm Animal (SPFCA) has been established with its headquarters at Bihar veterinary College Campus, Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU), Patna, Bihar as per Society Registration Act -21, 1860 through Registration, Excise & Prohibition Department, Government of Bihar. The society became operational from 16 March 2020 with the it`s certification vide Registration no.-S20039/2019-20. The new society has been formed to create greater awareness in and Bihar about up keepings of companion and farm animals through animal welfare education, veterinary training, aquaculture practices and their promotion among the pet lover, livestock and fish farmers as well. To further expand the horizon of the Society and to strengthen the promotion of farm and companion animal, and aquaculture practices, national and international seminars/webinars and symposium are being organised. The Society is a platform to foster learning, understand and promoting human animal interaction and to construct literature with a mission to promote compassionate animal keeping. Aspiring to end animal cruelty and encourage animal welfare by mass education and activities.
